A disc centrifuge is a mechanical device that utilizes the principle of centrifugal force to efficiently separate oil, water, and solid impurities. It plays a critical role in various fields, including catering, food processing, environmental protection, and biodiesel production.
Catering Industry (Waste Oil/Gutter Oil Treatment)
Processing Target: Waste cooking oil (such as gutter oil) collected from restaurants and cafeterias.
Purpose: Separate food residues and water to obtain relatively pure crude oil, which serves as raw material for subsequent industrial oil production (e.g., biodiesel), preventing waste oil from re-entering the food chain.
Food Processing Plants (e.g., Edible Oil Refining)
Used in processes such as degumming, de-soaping, and washing during crude oil refining to separate phospholipids, soapstock, and washing water from the oil. It is a key equipment for producing Grade 1 and Grade 2 edible oils.
Environmental Protection Industry (Wastewater Treatment)
Treats oily wastewater generated from industries such as petrochemicals, machining (coolants), and steel plants, reducing the oil content in wastewater to meet discharge or reuse standards.
Biodiesel Production
Used to separate biodiesel and glycerol by-products after reactions, as well as in subsequent washing processes. It is one of the core equipment in biodiesel production lines.
The oil-water separator is an indispensable high-efficiency separation device in modern industry and environmental protection. Leveraging the powerful principle of centrifugal force, it achieves rapid and pure separation of oil, water, and solid phases. It plays a key role in resource recovery (e.g., gutter oil treatment), food safety production, and environmental protection. The selection of the appropriate type and specification of equipment depends on the specific properties of the material to be processed, processing capacity, and automation requirements.
